A Family Run Inn, with 5 well appointed Rooms and well presented Lounge Restaurant and Friendly Locals Public Bar, which offers good chat, Darts Boards and Competition Level Pool Table. There is always also a domino board available to pass the time, as well as a collection of books. There are beautiful riverside walks nearby, with "local" Swans and Ducks, which nest here very year. Haddington enjoys the benefit of nestling between the coastal beaches and rolling hillsides, only 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh and around 50 minutes from Glasgow, so, whatever "takes your fancy" is never far away! Haddington is an old Traditional Market Town, steeped in history, and dates back to circa 600 AD. There are many historical Buildings and places of interest to visit both within the Town and around the County (Haddingtonshire was the old name of the county before it was renamed East Lothian) We have taken the opportunity to highlight some of these historical events in our Guests' Information Book within the Bedrooms. The Golf Tavern lies within the old Barony of Nungate which has now become an integral part of Haddington. We offer very Good Pub Food which is all freshly produced and prepared to order, served in the Restaurant or Public Bar should you wish to enjoy watching any sports on the TVs or just join in with the chat.
