Kingsmere Guest House is located off of Ocean Road, which means you have ready access to the shops, restaurants and bars of South Shields. Our guest house has a comfortable tranquillity, being set back away from the main road, yet a five minute stroll in one direction will have you on the gorgeous beaches and access to Bents Park where there are many free concerts, exhibitions etc held throughout the year. New for 2021 is a dedicated fully licensed, tastefully furnished & decorated Lounge Bar for guests. With a wide variety of wines, beers, spirits & soft drinks, it is the perfect space for pre-dinner drinks or winding down when the kids are in bed! All but one of our rooms are en-suite, the remaining room has access to its own private shower room. There are colour TV's with Freeview, tea & coffee making facilities, bottled water & complimentary toiletries in each room. We offer a varied breakfast menu from The 'Full English' to American Pancakes with Golden Syrup. The Metro is a 5/7 minute walk from the guest house, which is a convenient way of getting about the county & Newcastle Airport. Our guest house is perfect for families, couples, cyclists, walkers etc. We can also accommodate well behaved dogs! If you would like to sail across the Tyne from South Shields, the ferry landing stage is a short walk away from the guest house.
