The Cowpers Oak is a family run Pub, Inn and Kitchen. The main building which houses our bar dates back to the 1700’s. It serves a variety of draught ales in keeping with its past but with an extensive drinks menu to suit all needs. Our food is homemade, and our menu comprises Pub Classics, Chargrill and our speciality Smokehouse dishes. The Pub uses imported American smokers to deliver its unrivalled Smokehouse menu. Imagine yourself in the ‘Deep South’ We have 4 Deluxe soundproofed Double Rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, above the main building one. Three are equipped with King Size beds and one with twin beds. Facilities include TV, Wifi, Nespresso Coffee Machines and tea making facilities. Our sumptuous breakfast is served in our cosy restaurant from 7–9:00 on weekdays and 8-10 at weekends. We are flexible and experienced down to earth hosts and will do our utmost to make your stay with us hassle free and enjoyable. Please note that our Bar and Restaurant are not available on Monday evenings, alternative facilities can be found in the nearby town of Olney. Our location is central to the many activities in the area as we are on the border of Buckinghamshire, Northampton on Buckinghamshire. Here are a few favourites: The Market Town of Olney is just a couple of miles away. Quaint and unspoilt it’s the home to Amazing Grace and the Olney Pancake Race. With bars and cafes and a variety of independent shops Historic Houses & Gardens: Woburn Abbey & Gardens, Castle Ashby, Stowe Gardens, Delapre Abbey, Ashridge Estate, Waddesdon Manor & Evenly Wood Gardens (all within 20 miles of us). Bright Lights: Milton Keynes : Renowned Shopping Centre, Xscape Milton Keynes, The Hub, Milton Keynes Theatre, The Stables at Wavendon to name but a few. Fresh Air: The Weston Underwood Circular Walk 8 miles across mainly open countryside. For those looking for a challenge try walking part of the Ouse Valley Way.
