Visiting Alton Towers?

There's so much to see and do

The history of the site that Alton Towers now sits on goes back to 1BC when there was an iron age fort on Bunbury Hill. In 700 AD there was a Saxon fortress built on the hill, but in 716 AD there was a huge battle and because of the enormous loss of life it became known as Slain Hollow (in what is now the oriental water garden).

Alton Towers is now one of the most popular Theme parks in the UK receiving millions of visitors each year.

It also boasts rides such as Rita Queen of Speed, where you can experience 4.7G, Air - which is 3.5G, Oblivion which takes you to 4.5G, or Nemesis at 4G plus so many more to suit all ages!

Many people want a bed and breakfast near Alton Towers or in the wider County of Staffordshire or you can book online and stay at the local Hotels and guest houses
